Trumigo by Apollo Tyres didn't last for more than six months

Apollo Tyres, a multinational tyre manufacturing company, has ceased its doorstep car service initiative, Trumigo, according to sources familiar with the matter. Notably, the platform has halted its services just six months after its launch.

According to sources, the company struggled to gain traction and compete with other market alternatives.

According to a source, "Trumigo has laid off almost 100 employees, including 75 ground staff, and did not provide severance pay to most of the ground staff and several full-time employees."

Launched in February, Trumigo offered car maintenance services directly at customers' doorsteps, initially targeting Gurugram with plans to expand across the Delhi (NCR) region. However, sources indicate that Trumigo's website has been non-functional for some time and has been displaying error messages for the past three days.

Sources report that Trumigo’s website has been down for a while and has been showing error messages for the past three days. Additionally, several former employees have suggested there are financial irregularities within the company, which are currently under audit. Entrackr has not independently verified these claims.

Inquiries directed to the CEO, product leader, CHRO, and group head at Apollo Tyres within Trumigo went unanswered until the story was published.

Trumigo is now the second company in the car servicing sector to shut down after GoMechanic, which also underwent a forensic audit. Following the discovery of financial irregularities and inflated revenue, several investors, including Peak XV, decided to write off their investment in the company. GoMechanic was later acquired by Servizzy, a subsidiary of Lifelong Group, in a distressed sale.

GoMechanic, which previously aimed for a billion-dollar valuation, recently secured $6 million from investors at a valuation of $20 million.
